On April 20, 2012 the MDDC (Maryland, Deleware, D.C. Press Association) announced the 2011 winners. The Sentinel is in category F, non-dailies with a circulation under 10,000. I was part of the team that won the Feature Page Design award:

St. Michaels, MD

Over the Easter weekend we enjoyed a relaxing visit with family in Easton, MD. During a few hours geo-caching in St. Michaels I was able to get some scenic pictures. I took a quick break from sports photography to work with one of the images of some bushel baskets that were stacked outside of The Crab Claw restaurant.

Magruder Track & Field

I had a great time getting photos of the Magruder Track & Field team in the March 21st meet vs. Springbrook & Paint Branch. I am working on a custom poster that will advertise the upcoming Darius Ray Invitational meet at 4:00 at Magruder High school on April 20, 2012.

Magruder Wins State Championship!

After closely following the Magruder boys basketball team this season, it was no surprise that they defeated Eleanor Roosevelt on March 10th to claim the 4A State Championship. It was a close game, though. JJ Epps cinched the victory by sinking 4-4 foul shots with less than a minute to play. Below is a great shot of Justin Witmer celebrating the victory.
