Last night’s Montgomery County Boys High School All-Star game showcased many of our local players. The participants were: Justin Senou, Rachard Budd, Elliott Gambrell, Collin Turner, Tomazye Anderson, Michael Lumbuku, Charles Porter, Kirby Carmack, Mateen Etheridge, Dominique Williams, Tre Galloway, Nick Griffin, Joey Destefano, Justin Witmer, Tyron White, JJ Epps, Josh Ogburn, Brandon Loiacono, Tyvon Grant, Alex Sotomayor, Sean Vanduring, & Andrew Castagnetti, representing 17 schools!

The Magruder Colonels defeated Baltimore Polytechnic 62-50 in the 4A State semi-final game on March 14, 2013. Here’s a slide show of some of my favorite photos:

Magruder v Churchill Boys

Magruder boys continued their winning season, defeating Churchill last night 67-42. Dominique Williams led the Bulldogs with 10 points, followed by Malik Harris with 9 and Bryant Wheatley with 8. The Colonels top scorers were Nick Griffin with 20 points, JJ Epps with 15 and Ryan Rucker with 11.

Congratulations for both teams for great seasons and their 1-2 spots in the 4A West bracket. Good luck in the playoffs!

Family Portrait Idea

I was recently watching an episode of Color Splash on HGTV. The show’s host, David Bromstad, re-designs rooms like other shows on HGTV, but in each episode he creates a painting that works with the new room. For one show he painted a simple eye chart using the family’s names. It was such a great idea I wanted to see how it would look with a photo underneath. Here’s it is with my own family!
